Flex Air operates both Part 61 and Part 141 flight training programs and has been recognized as an AOPA Distinguished and Military Friendly® Flight School. Whether you have no experience or have completed one or more ratings at another school, we can get you training in San Diego, California right away, without months of delays.
Flex Air San Diego Flight School flies from Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport (MYF), which is just 6 miles from downtown San Diego. We are about 15 miles north of Naval Base San Diego and 45 miles south of Camp Pendleton.

Our San Diego flight training center provides flying lessons for recreational and civilian pilots training for their private pilots license (PPL), instrument flight rating (IFR) and certified flight instructor (CFI).

Our school in San Diego California also provides flight training for military transition pilots and service members with no prior flight training. We proudly serve Camp Pendleton and Naval Base San Diego servicemembers as well as veterans from all services with PPL, IFR, CFI training as they work to complete training to become a commercial airline pilot, as well as with our VA authorized SkillBridge program.
